FAQ’s – Show House

The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club President’s Dinner and the Kips Bay Decorator Show House are being postponed until later this year due to uncertainties surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak. The safety and wellbeing of our guests, team members and neighbors is our top priority, and we are closely monitoring CDC advisories regarding Coronavirus. We will work closely with local health authorities to implement any preventative measures they recommend, and will continue to monitor the situation closely and react accordingly and expediently. We will provide ongoing updates as we have them, and look forward to celebrating our honorees with you at the appropriate time. Your support of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s programs is crucial and deeply appreciated by all in the Kips community, especially the 10,000 plus children who benefit from our after school programs.


Show House Days & Hours:


  • Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays 11a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 11a.m. - 8 p.m.

  • Sundays Noon - 5 p.m.

  • (No entry 1/2 hour before closing)

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

  • Tickets are non-refundable


Are you near public transport?



Public Transportation 

I don’t want to purchase a sponsorship can I still come as an individual? 

  • Yes, individual tickets are $40. 


How accessible are events?  

  • Stairs to enter the House. 

  • Elevator to the top floor and guests can make their way down


Are there special accommodations or separate entrances for physically impaired guests?

  • Unfortunately, not.


Is the show house wheelchair accessible?

  • There is an elevator but unfortunately, there are steps to go down to enter the house.

I would like/ my guest would like to explore the grounds/event/venue can I do so without purchasing a ticket?   

  • To gain entrance to the House/grounds a ticket(s) must be purchased.

  • You may also show your email confirmation to gain entry to the house.

What is the dress code? 

  • Come as you are.


What is the inclement weather policy? 

  • We do not close due to inclement weather.


Are children allowed to attend?

  • Children under 6 are not allowed.


What is the cut off time for guests to enter?

  • Payment methods & pre-booking online.

  • We accept all forms of payment, cash, checks, CC.

I keep getting error messages when trying to book online and it won't let me, why?

There may be a few reasons for this:

  • Foreign credit card

  • Past cut-off time for payment If you are past the cut-off time for payment, you will need to pay at the door of the event.

  • Incomplete transaction. Many payments are started however not finished which means that the payment is never processed. Please make sure that complete your transaction by submitting it at the end. You will receive an email notification confirming payment shortly after completing the ticket purchase process.


I don't own a printer to print out my ticket, can you send it to me?

  • For the Show House you just need to show the bar code section of your ticket, it is then scanned at the door.

  • We do NOT have a guest list at the door of the House.

  • You don't need to print out your event ticket. Your name will be on the guest list at the door. You may show your e-mail confirmation, tell the door host your name. If you have booked multiple tickets for your friends, they will need to quote your name to get in. 


How long will it take to tour the house?

  • No more than 1 hour depending on how long is spent in each room.
