What is the location of the Show House?

What are the Dates and Times of the Show House?

  • The Show House is open from September 16th until October 13th.

    • Opening Day is September 15th from 6 PM to 9 PM

    • From September 16th to October 13th, the Show House is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM. Tuesdays & Thursday’s we extend hours till 7PM.

    • Sessions are 90 minutes long. 

  • Last entry is 30 minutes before closing

How much does the Show House cost to attend?

  • Tickets start at $500 for Opening Day and $50 for General Admission Days.

I am interested in buying an Opening Night ticket for the Show House, what are the details?

  • Opening Night Preview takes place Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Two Check In Locations:
    • Kips Bay Decorator Show House – 80 West Washington Place, New York, NY 10011
    • TBD LOCATION

  • Tickets start at $500 and must be purchased in advance

  • Includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a complimentary return ticket for general admission days

  • Sponsorship-level tickets are also available at Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels, which include multiple tickets, additional benefits, and recognition opportunities

  • Tickets are non-refundable and valid only for the event date and time selected

I am interested in buying a general admission ticket for the Show House, what are the details?

  • Tickets must be purchased in advance and are valid only on the day/time selected.

  • Tickets are for a 90 minute session. 

  • Depending on availability, a limited number of tickets may be available at the door

  • Tickets are non-refundable and can only be used once

  • No entry is allowed 30 minutes before closing

  • No children under the age of 6 (including infants) or pets allowed

  • General admission tickets may also grant access to same-day events at the Show House

I bought a general admission ticket, now what?

  • Upon arrival, show your ticket on a mobile device or printed copy.

  • Entry is valid during your designated session time, and guests must exit by the end of that session

  • Re-entry is not permitted

What comes with my ticket?

  • Entry to the Show House and a Show House Journal (subject to availability)

I lost my ticket, ticket confirmation, or have a ticketing question.

Where should I park?

  • With doing an event in New York City, street parking is extremely limited around the Show House. We encourage the use of a car share service. Nearest parking garages:

    • Barrow Street Garage LLC – 14 Barrow Street (approximately a 5-minute walk)

    • Metropolis Parking – 18 Morton Street (approximately a 6-minute walk)

    • GMC Parking – Travelers Garage – 160 West 10th Street (approximately a 7-minute walk)

    • Icon Parking – 12–20 East 9th Street (approximately an 8-minute walk)

    • 107 Garage Corp. – 107 West 13th Street (approximately a 9-minute walk)

 

Where is the nearest public transit?

  • By Subway:

    • 9th Street PATH Station – approximately a 4-minute walk

    • West 4th Street–Washington Square Station (A, B, C, D, E, F, M) – approximately a 7-minute walk

    • Christopher Street–Sheridan Square Station (1 train) – approximately a 7-minute walk

    • 14th Street Station (1, 2, 3, F, L, M trains) – approximately a 10-minute walk

    • 14th Street–Union Square Station (4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, R, W trains) – approximately a 12-minute walk

  • By Bus:

    • M8 (West 8th Street) – approximately a 4–5 minute walk

    • M11 (9th Avenue) – approximately a 6–7 minute walk

Is there a place on-site to purchase food or drinks?

  • No. Food and drink are not permitted inside and are not available on-site, but there are many nearby restaurants and cafes.

 

Is there a dress code?

  • Come as you are, but please avoid high heels to protect the floors.

Are bathrooms available for Show House guests?

  • Yes, there is one on-site bathroom for paid attendees.

How long will it take to tour the Show House?

  • At a leisurely pace, the tour typically takes under one hour.

Is there an elevator at the house?

  • No, there is no elevator.

Are there any accessibility accommodations?

  • There is no wheelchair access due to stairs. Unfortunately, this venue is not ADA accessible.

Can I take photos inside the Show House?

  • Yes, for personal use only.

    • No flash, tripods, or video recording

    • Please respect any signage indicating “No Photography” in specific rooms

    • We encourage you to tag us on social media

Is the Show House air-conditioned?

  • Yes, the home is climate-controlled, but temperatures may vary in different rooms.

Will there be guided tours available?

  • Tours are self-guided. While staff or docents may be on hand to answer questions, no formal tours are available.

Can I re-enter the house once I leave?

  • No. All tickets are single-entry only.

Are service animals allowed?

  • Yes, service animals trained to assist individuals with disabilities are allowed.

  • Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.

Can I buy tickets for a group or organization?

  • Yes, group tickets for 10 or more can be purchased directly on the website.

Is there a coat or bag check?

  • No. Please limit large bags as there is no coat or bag check. Bags may be subject to inspection.

Are designer products or featured pieces for sale?

  • Some items may be for sale. Inquire at the on-site information table or email us for more information.

Other Show House Restrictions?

  • No wheelchair access or elevator

  • No high heels, pets, or children under 6

  • Do not sit on or touch furniture or accessories
