2015 Kips Bay Show House Designers

KIPS BAY BOYS & GIRLS CLUB UNVEILS ROSTER OF ILLUSTRIOUS DESIGNERS AND ARCHITECTS FOR 43RD ANNUAL DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE

Nation’s Top Designers and Architects to Transform Upper East Side Mansion to Benefit Premier Non-Profit Organization in its 100th Year

BRONX, NY (March 30, 2015) – Twenty-two of the nation’s most renowned interior designers and architects have been tapped to participate in this year’s 43rd Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House, hosted by New York’s premiere local youth organization, the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Each designer will spend the next eight weeks transforming a distinct space in The Arthur Sachs Mansion at 58 East 66th Street located in Manhattan’s iconic Lenox Hill neighborhood.

 

Hand-selected by the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Committee and let by its chair, celebrated interior designer Bunny Williams, this year’s talented group of 22 designers and architects will be tasked with reviving the interiors of the five-floor, 9,600 square-foot townhouse in support of the organization’s milestone 100th anniversary.

 

“This year’s group of Kips Bay Decorator Show House designers and architects is of the highest caliber, and we thrilled to have them join us as we celebrate the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s 100 years,” said Bunny Williams. “With a great mix of Kips Bay Decorator Show House newcomers and veterans, we are confident that this extraordinary team will help us surpass this year’s fundraising goal to further enhance after-school and enrichment programs for our city’s local youth.”

 

An estimated 20,000 people are expected to tour the finished Show House which serves as the non-profit organization’s premier annual fundraiser. The house will be open to the public seven days a week, May 14 through June 11.

In addition to the designers, the team responsible for restoring The Arthur Sachs Mansion at 58 E. 66th Street to its original grandeur and bringing it to the Kips Bay Decorator Show House is led by architect Henry Jessup, developer Woodbine & Co., Interior Management Inc. along with Paula Del Nunzio of Brown Harris Stevens. This year’s Show House sponsors include Architectural Digest, Hearst Design Group, Kohler, Farrow & Ball, Kravet, Dacor, Housepad, Elizabeth Bradley Home, Silestone, AKDO, 1stdibs, the New York Design Center, Christopher Guy and The Shade Store.
